The superstructure is characterised by three roughly equal but differently shaped volumes, each with three storeys. There is only one apartment per floor. This results in very compact volumes, the grain of which corresponds to the heterogeneous development structure of the villa district. The three buildings develop from a rather narrow volume along the banks of the Mannibach to the south, where the second volume appears somewhat wider and ends with the third, almost square volume. All three buildings are set with their narrow side facing the slope. This avoids the creation of a barricading effect and allows the site to flow between the houses. The same care is also evident in the consideration of the underground car park. Although it is situated between the houses, it is sunken so that the natural course of the slope is preserved. The architecture is reserved and is mainly limited to the proportions of the three volumes, which are intended to work together due to their dimensions and their offset position. The houses’ corner location means there are unobstructed views for the apartments and a connection with the surrounding area. A meticulous design was developed for the garden, providing for short access routes to the houses and, inside the development, paved paths to make the garden accessible. A planting scheme consisting of plants of different heights and flowers to cover the entire outside area was planned. The floor plans of the individual houses are based on their different locations on the plot. In this way, the potential of each house’s location was fully utilised.
