School building extension in Neuheim

A new extension accommodates the necessary classroom expansion of the school complex in Neuheim. It is directly northeast of the existing school building and forms an integral part of the school complex in terms of both school operations and construction. The new expansion is designed as a 3-storey building, with a simple, compact volume and a square base. Together with the tried-and-tested split-level organisational principle and central access and communication zones inside, the new building meets functional, design and economic requirements. The ground floor extends well toward Windenweg, marking the entrance to the new building and creating a covered outdoor area that supplements the new break area towards Windenweg. The location and orientation of the extension also allow for a walkway connecting the first floor to the existing school building, where it can be docked directly to the existing staircase.
